Jennifer Lin Shay is a senior communications executive with comprehensive experience gained over 16 years in Asia focusing on the Greater China market. Prior to joining Hamilton Advisors, Jennifer served as Head of Corporate Communications at Standard Chartered Bank China based in Shanghai, China, where she oversaw all aspects of the Bank's external communications, including executive profiling, business communicationsfor both wholesale and consumer banking sectors, and reputational risks mitigation.
Before Standard Chartered, Jennifer spent near ten years with renowned PR agencies including Bite Communications (previously Upstream Asia), Ruder Finn Asia and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in Hong Kong in positions of increasing responsibility. She specialized in corporate and financial communications, working with clients primarily in the financial and technology sectors. Among her areas of expertise, Jennifer is an experienced trainer in crisis management, corporate messaging and media skills. She has held key positions on crisis and crisis assignments for SWIFT, Credit Suisse, S.C. Johnson, Johnson & Johnson, Asia World Expo, Motorola, Standard Chartered Bank, Q8 Aviation, and others.
Born in Taiwan, Jennifer speaks English, Chinese (Mandarin, Fukienese and Cantonese) and Japanese. She graduated from Taiwan National University, and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communications from the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she also served as Instructor in the University’s Communications Department.
