Robert Grieves, Chairman

 

Robert Grieves has been a top-tier communications consultant since 1989, following a 12-year career in journalism for The Times (London) and The Economist (both in Beijing), and Time magazine and Forbes (both in New York).

As a communications specialist, his career has included seven years at the global public relations firm of Burson-Marsteller, five years as head of Marketing and Communications, Asia, for Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong, three years as head of Global Communications for The Bank of New York, and four years as head of global media relations and financial communications for the international insurance firm, ACE.  Most recently he served as President, Hong Kong for Edelman, a global firm public relations firm that has won numerous awards in the Asia-Pacific region. Robert also currently serves on the board of directors of The Council of Public Relations Firms Hong Kong.

Robert graduated from Hamilton College magna cum laude with a B.A. in English Literature and East Asian History, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his M.S. in Journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a concurrent certificate from Columbia’s East Asian Institute.
